Calendar Girl

Yo everyone.  We are still trying to get things squared away here.  Not sure of what the outcome will be, but in the meantime, I’ll let you in on one small bit of what I’ve been doing.  I’ve been working with Hawaiian Tropic and a television show production company and did the theme for their proposed reality show “Calendar Girl.”  The show was to feature Hawaiian Tropic girls competing for a shot to be the Miss Hawaiian Tropic calendar girl , a representative for the company, and money and prizes.  So one afternoon I redid a version of Neil Sedaka’s Calendar Girl and gave it a more current feel.  It was a fun little project.  Unfortunately, they could not all come to terms regarding the show and after working for a year or so, the show fell through, however, I still have the version of the theme song that I recorded.  Check it out.  Keep in mind it was a song from the 50’s so it’s a bit quirky for me, but it worked well.  Also, it was all performed and mixed by me, just like I’ve always done all my Fuel demos, so it is a bit rough.  Hope you like it for what it’s worth.  Hope you are all well out there and hope to see you soon, Carl.

Carl, you should sing more. You’re hiding great talent in that regard.

Seeing that our family has inexplicably watched the two Pussycat Dolls contestant shows and continues to watch America’s Next Top Model and then all that weird stuff on the CW, we’d have watched this one, too. Too bad it didn’t work out, especially given the excellent theme song. :)
