Yo everyone. We are still trying to get things squared away here. Not sure of what the outcome will be, but in the meantime, I’ll let you in on one small bit of what I’ve been doing. I’ve been working with Hawaiian Tropic and a television show production company and did the theme for their proposed reality show “Calendar Girl.” The show was to feature Hawaiian Tropic girls competing for a shot to be the Miss Hawaiian Tropic calendar girl , a representative for the company, and money and prizes. So one afternoon I redid a version of Neil Sedaka’s Calendar Girl and gave it a more current feel. It was a fun little project. Unfortunately, they could not all come to terms regarding the show and after working for a year or so, the show fell through, however, I still have the version of the theme song that I recorded. Check it out. Keep in mind it was a song from the 50’s so it’s a bit quirky for me, but it worked well. Also, it was all performed and mixed by me, just like I’ve always done all my Fuel demos, so it is a bit rough. Hope you like it for what it’s worth. Just wanted to swing by and wave hello to you all.. I hope you all had some amazing holidays and that your 09’s are off to a good start! I’ve done a lot of traveling this past year and met a lot of great new friends.. even picked up a few cool new tricks.. (Like how to properly order a beer in finnish… haha.. well, maybe not so properly) -Hope I get to see you all again real soon

Yo, okay … I’ve read all you concerns and comments as I always do. I’ve no desire to leave you all without any knowledge of what is going on in the Fuel camp, but perhaps it’s better legally if I don’t comment. Sucks, but whatya do? Maybe we should just get lawyers to put out or next record, I dunno? As usual, we have the between record legal issues. If you think you are frustrated, please imagine mine. Tommy took the Everclear gig, because we weren’t touring and talked to me before going out with them. You gotta eat, right? Same basically for Toryn. Until there is some clarity in our situation, what are you gonna do? In the meantime, we’ll try to see if and when we can bring this plane in for a landing. We’ll all just keep on keeping on. Thanks for all your interest and concern. As I get more info, so will you.

Hope you all had a great 4th of July and no one lost any fingers or toes … or worse … to the festivities! Happy 4th, Carl.
Okay, so the latest word I’ve gotten here is that the Austin show has been “postponed indefinitely.” That’s coming from the promoter, so, there you have it. I’m not exactly sure what that means either, but that’s the word. Due to the sad events that fell upon the promoter and that surrounded that show, that’s understandable. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I know more. As far as Fuel and Epic go, wheels are in motion to break off that 10 year relationship and move on. Of course that will take a bit of negotiating and the usual legal drudgery. Following that, we’ll see where we all are and make decisions accordingly. I’m feeling good about what’s ahead, it’ll definitely be uncharted waters, but hey … it’s always crazy, especially in this industry. You never know what’s ahead ….
